Haven is a calm, solid, stocky black pup with minor white markings. I love whichever pup I'm thinking of, but Haven has already demonstrated some special traits. Like his Dam did as a wee pup, I repeatedly catch him watching me andlooking as if he's processing what he's seeing. He's responsive to affection, not just for food. He's quite adept in the nursing arena. One day I watched him attempt to squeeze past nursing siblings from above. Suddenly he stopped, ran around through his Dam's forelegs, dove under the pups and effortlessly pried them lose from below, where he happily won the teat. He looked like this was a polished technique....at two weeks old.
