The first clear sable born at Copper Valley, she was quite a surprise to me! This means each of her parents had a recessive gene for clear sable. Guinevere has the classic Irish markings, a full white ruff that is about 90% complete, white mussle and wide white blaze.

Guinevere at Two Weeks
This picture does not really do Guinevere justice, as she is quite feminine and pretty. Only two weeks, Guinevere may be a little sensitive, understandably. At about 12 or 13 days, she was frustrated finding herself under the "roll bar" and travelled the length of the nursery trying to get out from under it. She was easily soothed when I came to her rescue.

Guinevere at Three Weeks
Guinevere is a beauty and lively explorer. A real sweet heart.

Like Gabe, Guinevere has also really come into her own this week. She loves exploring toys, spaces, and rumbling with her littermates. She seems a bit sensitive to a lot of intense eye contact up close, but I see her turning her head toward me more, looking at me out of the corner of her eye. She is getting more and more confident as I tell her what a good girl she is.

Guinevere now makes great eye contact and readily seeks me out. She loves to play outside with her littermates in the puppy pen.  Like the rest of the litter, Guinevere is very confident when introduced to new surroundings and play toys. The outdoor puppy pen borders the duck pen. Guinevere plays well with others and has a happy demeanor.

Guinevere is really growing on me!. She is always playing near be but in a gentle quiet way. She's not a protestor, but goes with the flow. A real farm collie beauty.
